Elderfield Guide Wiki is an independent information site. This policy explains the limited data that may be processed when you visit elderfieldguide.wiki.

Local preferences

The site stores your analytics-consent choice and visual theme preference in your browser's local storage. These values remember your choices on the same browser; they are not account profiles and are not used to identify you across devices.

Analytics

The site uses Plausible Analytics through a same-origin proxy to measure aggregate traffic. If Google Analytics 4 is configured, it loads only after analytics consent has been accepted. These services may process information such as the page visited, referrer, approximate region, device type, and browser type. We do not ask you to create an account and do not receive game, Steam, or payment credentials.

The hosting provider may also process IP addresses, request times, requested paths, and security information in ordinary server logs needed to deliver and protect the site.

Third-party links and video

Links to Steam, Discord, YouTube, itch.io, Patreon, and other sources take you to services with their own privacy policies. The embedded YouTube player uses the privacy-enhanced domain and is not loaded until you choose to play the video. Once you follow an external link or load the player, that provider may receive normal request and device information under its own policy.

Advertising

The current public pages do not display third-party advertising. If advertising is enabled later, this policy and the consent experience must be updated before those placements are published.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site's analytics, hosting, embedded content, advertising, or storage behavior changes. The date at the top identifies the current version.
